Advanced Placement (AP) Assessments

(May)

Advanced Placement (AP®) tests are college-level exams on specific subjects and are administered in May upon the completion of an AP course. Each school district in South Carolina is required to provide Advanced Placement courses in all secondary schools that include grades eleven or twelve. Greenville County Schools currently offers 31 AP courses. AP tests are scored on a scale of 1–5. At many colleges and universities, a high enough score on an AP exam will earn the student college credit. For more information, visit the College Board or South Carolina Department of Education.
